What is the big fuss over this date? Next year there will be 09.09.09, following that will be 10.10.10, 11.11.11, 12.12.12. It must be the inherent prosperity of the digit eight that compels people to want join in a mass wedding solemnisation or to book a maternity ward for induced delivery (and miss out on the additional baby bonus). Most simply go out and eat their favourite food. So that in years to come when people ask, "so what did you do on 08.08.08?" they can say that they spent it with a black peppered crab and half dozen scallops by the sea. They, are my parents. Now where was I?
