Without me Again?

This time they took off to Thailand during their
Wedding Anniversary.

To feel good about leaving me behind.
Ask about me from Grandpa R.

Ask Grandma B if you want to feel bad.

For the truth, ask Aunt El.

No. She just told my parents, "I thought you know everything??"

Their Story

Every couple has a story tell about how they met.

How they were in such close vicinity yet so far.

How they could have bumped into each other upteen times

yet never looked each other in the eye.

How they almost went out with somebody else.

How they eventually came together.

How they both share a story to tell.

They have told their story for five years.

Blessed Anniversary to my best friends!

OMG She's so Brave.

Waiting to see the Paediatrician.

Those were the words of Dr Yeo as she jabbed the Hep A booster into my left arm. I glanced at the needle as it was poked through my skin, and I looked up at Dr Yeo. She exclaimed, oh my god! She's so brave! She's just looking at me. But as the vaccine was injected, I started to bawl, paaaaaaain! Oh well... There is no more jab til I turn five-ish. So we made an appointment for 2012.

In Awe of Her

The Jesus blessed wedding of the year. I was totally mesmerized by the Princess and her gorgeous gowns!

Josh was so funny, the night before the wedding, he cried to Aunt El, that he does not know who he is going to marry!

I am going to marry a self-sacrificing, witty & charming man like my Daddy. Daddy, look forward to my wedding! : )

Gorilla Feet

Do not know how it got so dirty. I understand if it was the sole that is black, because I did step on the Saturday papers, but the top of the toes?
Going barefoot...
One will always find me walking/dashing around barefoot. You might like to know that experts encourage children to go barefoot as much as possible. Wearing shoe impedes the natural growth of the feet. Having said that, I wear me shoes when the ground is not safe for going au naturel.

End of Year Concert

When I practice my dance steps, viewers get a preview of my performances. On the actual day of concert, they found that the previews were dances of the senior classes, instead of mine! While I rememebered my own dance moves, I remember the other kids routines as well! To top it off, I sang the ending song Circle of Life like I really know the lyrics.

Squabbling Cousins

Who needs a sibling to stick out a tongue to, to make funny faces at, to fight for the same toy, to have a "see who can outscream" challenge, to boss and be bossed about by, or simply to get on each others nerves. I found that someone need not be a sibling. Cousins do the job just fine. At least we have not reached the stage of crucifying with a pencil lead into the palm of another. Mii believes that the 2B lead was what made Aunt El smarter than her.

Does not Belong

Go twenty years back.
How many of you ate chinese new year egg rolls out of Jacobs Cream Cracker green rectangle tins? Or prawn crackers out of Fab Washing Powder tub? My childhood will include memories of the Crabtree & Evelyn tin that does not contain the dark, rich Belgian chocolate chips that oooh so melt-in-the-mouth.

Instead I will find the sticky gooey filled beh teh soh.

Maegan, do you want to wear your new shoes?

Nooooo.

But it's sport shoes you know?

Sport shoes?

Yes! You can run very very fast with this.

Run very very fast?

Yes! Faster than anybody else.

Ok!

What Do Lions Eat?

Maybe they eat monkeys?

Playhouse Disney Little Einsteins Programme were featuring animals. I was posed a question. What is the giraffe eating? I answered leaves. Then a lion appeared. I asked, what do lions eat? Mii instantly thought of the giraffe! Of course it would have been pretty sadistic to hear that answer, especially when the previous screen showed the delightfully munching away giraffes. She choked and answered, urm... lions eat animals. I looked blankly at mummy for five seconds, before responding with, nooooo, they eat food.

What It Should Have Been

Before I could blog this entry:
Sea Lion Hair Wash

No more floating position for hair wash. I stand up straight, tilt my head all the way back, close my eyes, have water run down my hair carefully avoiding the face and declare, "See, baby no more cry!"

My new entry is now:

Daddy's Pushing the Limits

He decided to show me it is fine even for water to run over my face. I just have to use my hands to smudge off the water before I open my peepers. There he goes, showered from the crown of my head over my hair and face. I smack my face right against the glass door and cried, I don't want to wash haaaaaaaaaair!!!

Kids say the Darnest Things

My bath time includes a royal shampoo. I never allow water to be showered from the crown of my head. I YELL! Since infancy, all of 3.5kg til the current 14kg, I will be propped up on a floating position, while my hair is shampooed, every drop of water kept away from my face. Even still, I am NOT a fan of a hairwash. I will declare "I'm DONE!" as soon as shampoo is massaged in. In desperation to keep me still so that water and shampoo does not enter my eyes, Mii spooked me.

Let me wash off the shampoo first,
if not all your hair will drop!

My hair drop?

Yes.

Then no more hair?

Yes.

Like Xian Yao?

And she continues to spook me at other times.

In a bid to reduce my frequency of eating Macdonalds.

Mummy, I want e i e i o.

No.

I waaaant.

If you eat so much Macdonald, you will get fat!

Like Ms Sal?

Jubilee Kids

So today I visited Sunday School. Mii totally underestimated the timing and starved me. When I saw other kids eating porridge and bread, I asked for it too. Hungry and frustrated I made a fuss as the Children's Day performers came in. The worst was when they introduced themselves as teachers. I blared that only Ms Sal is teacher! Stressed, we bid the shooshing crowd goodbye and went for my fix.

Macdonald Birthday Party

Ranen's birthday was the highlight of this weekend! Since the invite came in the mailbox, we have been counting down. Each day I remind Mii, "Saturday we going to Ranen's birthday party at Macdonalds?" We shopped for present, had it wrapped and willingly gave it to the birthday boy! That day I wore the Free as a Bird necklace and said, "Later Ranen say I pretty?" Girl oh girl...

Thanks Ranen for having me join the fun,

his Daddy - the Cream of Maestro & babelicious Sophia Mummy!

i Tim aka Ice Cream

slürp kids slürp

I ask for i tim & i get i tim.

Mii has no qualms driving me to the nearest Macs for a hot fudge sundae, even if its near midnight. Thats because I love asking for i tim more than i tim itself. So Mii, in reality, gets to have the sundae. Sly.

Tree Top Walk

Reluctantly.

Since we had no plans on this public holiday, we joined Josh for the Tree Top Walk. The toddler unfriendly foot path translates to four fellow expedititoners carrying me the entire trail leading to the Tree Top Walk. Totally expected. In no time, credit to the hot and sunny weather, my tights were damp from the perspiring arms. Frowning and nagging that my pants are wet, I stood still and could not advance til something is done about it.

Cool & Happy.

Tree Top Walk conquered!

Will never do it again til I can peddar on the pebbled trail.

Or rather, will never get invited by the same expedititoners again.
